Ryuta Takeshi

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Ryuta moved with his family to San Francisco, CA when he was 3 years old. Growing up, Ryuta was a problem child and often got in trouble with teachers and other students. As he got older, he had gotten into fights and had been suspended multiple times, much to his parents' chagrin. Eventually, he dropped out of high school at 17 and enlisted in the Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman. From there, after various deployments, he ascended from Infantryman to Scout Sniper to Recon Marine and finally to Marine Raider where he finished his 15-year military career. Originally intending to be a career Marine, he was medically discharged after an injury he received during a deployment that left him with a replaced right hip and various screws, plates and rods. After recovery, he considered taking up contracting work but decided to instead go live with extended family in Japan for a while. It was here that, while still dealing with wartime PTSD, that he was sucked into the Yakuza underworld. His skills as a Marine Raider were particularly prized and in a fairly short period of time, he became a high-ranking member. He now travels the world an an Enforcer, to collect payment and ensure compliance, and a Business Associate, to create more ties in other parts of the world. He spends most of his time at his retreat home in Northeast Harbor, ME during his off-time. Outside of his line of work, he enjoys hiking (particularly during fall at Acadia National Park, next to his home), playing guitar, reading and writing. He hopes to one day write a novel and leave the criminal underworld in the future.
